CHAZZ

„Chazz" nennen wir unsere Reihe von Schachturnieren mit Jazzbegleitung.

Jeden Monat wird in der Mulackei entweder Blitz- (5 Minuten Bedenkzeit pro SpielerIn, maximal 10 Minuten pro Partie) oder Schnellschach (10 Minuten Pro SpielerIn, maximal 20 Minuten pro Partie) nach dem „Schweizer System" (5-7 Runden. Gepaart werden Spieler mit gleichem oder möglichst ähnlichem Punktestand) gespielt.

Während die Spiele laufen, sorgt eine Jazz-InstrumentalistIn für konzentrations- und kreativitätsfördernde musikalische Untermalung.

Die Teilnahmegebühr für Mitspielende beträgt 10 Euro. Zu gewinnen gibt es Pokale und Sachpreise. Für Zuschauer- bzw. HörerInnen ist der Eintritt frei.

„Chazz" is what we call our monthly chess tournament that is accompanied by live music. The players face each other either in a blitz tournament (5 mins per player) or a rapid tournament (10 mins per player). The pairings are made based on the so called „swiss system" that brings together players which approximately equal scores. While the games are being played, a jazz musician will support concentration and creativity of the players with smooth melodies.

Participation costs 10 euros, there are non-monetary rewards for the winners. People who just want to watch the games or listen to the music are welcome to come for free as long as there is enough space.
